Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movie Posters series, this piece commemorates the 1940 Walt Disney animated classic Pinocchio. The line was designed to celebrate iconic cinematic imagery by pairing stylized vinyl figures with the original poster art as a backdrop, encased in a protective display frame. This specific entry, numbered eight in the series, aims to capture the whimsical spirit of the film by placing the titular wooden boy and his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, in front of the legendary theatrical promotional artwork.
The figures themselves reflect the classic Pop! design language, featuring the signature oversized heads and minimalist features that have become synonymous with the brand. By integrating these figures into a fixed diorama, the series appeals to both fans of modern vinyl collectibles and traditional film memorabilia enthusiasts. Upon its release, the product was received as a nostalgic homage to one of the cornerstones of Disney animation, emphasizing the enduring visual legacy of the studio's early feature-length productions.
