Rarity

The Rarity Pop! Digital figure was released as part of the My Little Pony x Funko Digital series, an initiative that bridged traditional vinyl collectibles with the growing market for non-fungible tokens. Produced in the early 2020s, the series sought to modernize the long-running Hasbro franchise by offering fans a dual-ownership model where acquiring a digital asset provided the opportunity to redeem a physical, stylized figurine.

Designed in the signature Funko Pop aesthetic, the figure features Rarity’s iconic purple mane and gemstone cutie mark, simplified into the brand's trademark oversized head and minimalist features. While these digital-first releases represented a pivot in Funko's distribution strategy, the designs remained consistent with the core My Little Pony character identities established during the Friendship is Magic era, appealing specifically to collectors who value the intersection of pop culture nostalgia and evolving digital media formats.
