Where it came from
Ree Yees was released as part of the Star Wars Pop! series by Funko, serving as number 95 in the line. This figure depicts the Gran character first seen in Jabba the Hutt's palace in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. The design captures the character's distinct three-eyed alien anatomy and his traditional palace attire, rendered in the signature oversized-head aesthetic that defines the Pop! brand.
The figure reflects Funko's strategy of expanding the Star Wars collection beyond main protagonists to include niche background characters from the original trilogy. Like much of the Star Wars Pop! line, the Ree Yees figure was created to appeal to completionist collectors and fans of the series' deep lore. It received a standard release, fitting into the broader ecosystem of licensed collectible vinyl figures that dominated pop culture retail throughout the 2010s.
