Resistance Goldenfold

The Resistance Goldenfold Funko Pop, numbered 571 in the Animation series, represents a character from the Adult Swim animated series Rick and Morty. The figure depicts Mr. Goldenfold, the high school math teacher of the protagonist Morty Smith, reimagined as a freedom fighter during the post-apocalyptic events of the show. This design emerged during the expansion of the Pop! Animation line, which sought to capture the diverse array of side characters and alternate-universe versions that define the series' chaotic narrative style.

The aesthetic of this figure maintains the signature Funko design language, characterized by a large, stylized head and simplified proportions. By depicting Goldenfold in his survivalist gear rather than his traditional classroom attire, the design leans into the fan-favorite humor of taking grounded characters and placing them in extreme, high-stakes science fiction scenarios. Upon release, it served as a collectible anchor for enthusiasts of the show's complex lore, appealing to those who appreciate the show's propensity for radical character reinvention.
