Where it came from
Reverend Henry Kane is a primary antagonist from the Poltergeist film franchise, first appearing in the 1986 sequel, Poltergeist II: The Other Side. This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 2068 in the Pop! Movies line, commemorates the character's unsettling presence, specifically capturing his iconic wide-brimmed hat, long trench coat, and piercing, menacing expression that defined his role as a spectral preacher.
The design of this collectible leans into the stylized aesthetic characteristic of the Funko Pop! brand, reimagining the sinister live-action performance of actor Julian Beck into a recognizable vinyl format. By focusing on the stark contrast of the character's monochromatic wardrobe and haunting features, the figure serves as a nod to the horror cinema of the 1980s and the enduring legacy of the Poltergeist series among genre enthusiasts.
