Where it came from
Richter Belmont is a figure from the Pop! Animation line, released in conjunction with the 2023 Netflix series Castlevania: Nocturne. The figure draws inspiration from the character's reimagined design for the series, which serves as a sequel-spinoff to the original Castlevania animated adaptation. As the descendant of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, Richter is depicted with his signature visual elements, including his iconic coat and the Vampire Killer whip, capturing his transition into the lead protagonist of the French Revolution-era narrative.
The figure was produced by Funko as part of their strategy to expand their reach within the animation and gaming collector communities. The design team focused on translating the show's distinct art style into the signature vinyl aesthetic, prioritizing the character's specific color palette and heroic stance. Upon its release, it was aimed at both long-term fans of the Castlevania video game franchise and newer viewers of the Netflix series, serving as a representation of the enduring legacy of the Belmont family within pop culture.
