Rocket Raccoon vs Mega Man X (2-Pack)

The Rocket Raccoon vs Mega Man X 2-pack was released by Funko as part of their Pop! Games line to tie into the 2017 launch of the fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. This set was designed to capture the cross-franchise appeal of the game, pairing the irreverent guardian from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the iconic protagonist of Capcom’s long-running action series. The figures follow the standard Pop! aesthetic, featuring oversized heads and simplified, stylized features intended to distill complex character designs into a uniform, collectible format.

The collection was received as a niche crossover release, aimed primarily at fans of the video game and completist collectors of the Marvel and Capcom lines. While the game itself saw a mixed critical reception, the figure set remains a distinct document of a specific marketing collaboration between two major entertainment powerhouses. The design focuses on the key visual identifiers of each character—Rocket’s heavy artillery and Mega Man’s signature armor—maintaining the brand consistency expected of the Pop! Games series during that period.
