Roy Mustang

Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist from the celebrated manga and anime series Fullmetal Alchemist, was rendered as a Funko Pop! vinyl figure as part of the Pop! Animation line. Released to capture the popularity of the 2003 and 2009 series, this figure reflects the character's status as a fan-favorite strategist and military officer. The design adheres to the standard Funko aesthetic, featuring the character in his signature blue Amestris State Military uniform, complete with his rank insignia and white gloves, capturing his iconic, composed demeanor.

The figure was produced during a period of significant expansion for the Pop! Animation category, as Funko sought to deepen its catalog of classic anime icons. By focusing on Mustang’s distinct look, the designers aimed to provide fans with a tangible representation of his pivotal role in the franchise's narrative. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors who sought to round out their Fullmetal Alchemist sets, which prominently feature the Elric brothers alongside various supporting characters from the State Military.
