Where it came from
Sam, numbered 1242 in the Pop! Movies line, is a vinyl figure depicting the iconic character from the 2007 horror anthology film Trick 'r Treat. Produced by Funko, this figure was released to celebrate the film's enduring cult status as a modern staple of Halloween cinema. The design captures the character's signature burlap sack mask, ragged orange pajamas, and lollipop, staying true to the aesthetic established by director Michael Dougherty.
The figure reflects the broader Funko strategy of distilling complex cinematic characters into a stylized, uniform format. By focusing on the character's most recognizable attributes—specifically the weathered texture of the mask and the prop-heavy silhouette—the design team aimed to balance the menacing nature of the character with the accessible, collectible charm that defines the Pop! brand. It remains a popular entry for horror enthusiasts looking to represent contemporary genre milestones.
