Sam The Snowman

Sam the Snowman, as depicted in the Funko Pop! Movies line, is based on the iconic narrator character from the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop-motion television special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The character was originally voiced by folk legend Burl Ives, whose likeness and signature banjo were central to the special's nostalgic aesthetic. This figure was released as part of a series celebrating the enduring legacy of the holiday classic, which has remained a perennial staple of seasonal television for decades.

The figure design captures Sam’s distinctive appearance, complete with his red vest, yellow bowtie, and derby hat. In translating the hand-crafted look of the original puppet to the modern vinyl aesthetic, Funko opted for a design that balances the character’s classic television silhouette with the signature large-head, small-body stylization that defines the Pop! brand. It was received as a tribute to the warmth of the original film and remains a sought-after piece for collectors of nostalgic seasonal memorabilia.
