Where it came from
Shizuku Murasaki, the eighth member of the Phantom Troupe in the anime series Hunter x Hunter, was immortalized in Funko's Pop! Animation line as number 1564. This figure captures the character's signature appearance, characterized by her black turtleneck, glasses, and the presence of her conjured vacuum cleaner, Blinky. The figure was released to expand the growing collection of Hunter x Hunter characters, catering to fans of the Yorknew City arc where Shizuku plays a pivotal role.
The design process for this Pop! reflects Funko's standard aesthetic of simplified proportions, oversized heads, and stylized features. By focusing on her distinct monochromatic palette and the inclusion of her iconic weapon, the designers aimed to maintain her recognizable, stoic persona despite the transition to the chibi-inspired vinyl format. The figure has been generally well-received by the collector community as a necessary addition to complete the Phantom Troupe lineup.
