Where it came from
The Sith Jet Trooper (Flying) Pop! figure was released as part of the 2020 Summer Convention exclusive wave, representing a specialized unit introduced in the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The design features the character in a dynamic mid-air pose, departing from the standard static stance of most figures in the Star Wars line, which was a common stylistic choice for characters depicted in high-action sequences within the film.
Funko designed this version to capture the distinct aesthetic of the Sith Eternal forces, characterized by their menacing crimson armor. By isolating this specific variant for a convention release, the company aimed to appeal to dedicated collectors seeking to complete the expansive Star Wars character roster. It was received as a niche addition to the broader First Order and Sith-related catalog, noted primarily for its unique mounting base that mimics the character's aerial mobility.
