Smokey Bear (Flocked)

The Smokey Bear Pop! figure was released as part of the Ad Icons series, celebrating one of the most recognizable mascots in American history. Created in 1944 by the U.S. Forest Service and the Ad Council, the character of Smokey Bear was designed to promote wildfire prevention through the slogan 'Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires.' The figure captures the iconic aesthetic of the character, complete with his signature ranger hat and shovel, serving as a nostalgic tribute to the long-running public service campaign.

Funko designed this particular iteration with a unique flocked texture to mimic the appearance of fur, a technique frequently used in the Ad Icons line to provide a tactile, premium quality to mascot figures. As part of the wider Funko Pop! collection, it reflects the company's focus on translating cultural iconography into stylized vinyl form. The release was met with appreciation from collectors of advertising memorabilia and those with an interest in American pop culture history, solidifying its place within the broader pantheon of Ad Icons.
