Spider-Man

The Funko Pop! Marvel Spider-Man figure, numbered 719, was released as part of the extensive Pop! Marvel line, which translates iconic comic book characters into the brand's signature stylized vinyl aesthetic. This specific iteration draws its visual inspiration from the 'Spider-Man: Miles Morales' video game, capturing the character in a dynamic pose that emphasizes the game's unique suit design and gameplay-inspired flair. It emerged during a period of significant expansion for Funko, as they sought to bridge the gap between classic comic book collectors and the growing audience of interactive media enthusiasts.

The design process for this figure focused on replicating the distinct aesthetic choices found in the game, specifically the texture and color palette of the suit, while maintaining the simplified, large-headed silhouette that defines the Pop! series. Funko’s design team worked closely with licensors to ensure that the character’s posture reflected the agility and signature style associated with the Spider-Man persona. Upon release, the figure was met with steady interest from both casual collectors and fans of the Insomniac Games franchise, serving as a prominent piece in a long-running series of Marvel-themed collectibles.
