Spot

Spot, released as figure number 160 in the Pop! Disney series, was produced by Funko to coincide with the 2015 release of the Pixar film The Good Dinosaur. The figure captures the prehistoric cave boy, characterized by his feral appearance and companionship with the protagonist, Arlo. As part of the company's established strategy of creating stylized vinyl representations of major animated feature characters, it utilizes the signature Funko aesthetic of a large head and simplified, rounded features.

The design of the figure was overseen by the Funko creative team to mirror the unique character proportions established by Pixar's animation department for the film. While The Good Dinosaur received a mixed critical reception upon its theatrical release, the merchandising line was developed to appeal to collectors of Disney-Pixar memorabilia. Like many figures from the mid-2010s Disney series, the piece serves as a snapshot of the collaboration between the studio and the burgeoning vinyl collectible market of that era.
