Squiddly Diddly (Dark Purple)

The Squiddly Diddly Pop! figure, numbered 66 in the Animation series, was released by Funko as part of their ongoing tribute to classic Hanna-Barbera television properties. Squiddly Diddly first appeared in 1965 as an optimistic, music-loving octopus who lived in a guarded underwater habitat, famously trying to escape to perform on land. This vinyl iteration translates the character's signature sailor hat and upbeat expression into Funko's standardized aesthetic, honoring the mid-century animation style that defined the studio's mid-sixties output.

The design of the figure adheres to the minimalist, large-headed format that characterized early Funko Animation figures. By focusing on the character's distinct blue-purple hue and nautical uniform, the designers aimed to capture the nostalgia of the original 1965 series for modern collectors. Upon release, the figure was welcomed by fans of Hanna-Barbera as a faithful representation of a less frequently merchandised character, serving as a staple for those curating historical animation collections.
