T-Bone (Black)

T-Bone, released as number 4 in the original Funko Pop! line, represents the company's early experimentation with the vinyl figure format that eventually became a global phenomenon. Released during the company's transition from bobbleheads to stylized, non-articulated vinyl collectibles, T-Bone was part of the initial wave that defined the classic oversized-head, black-eyed aesthetic. These early figures were designed to be simple, accessible desk companions that drew heavily on the company's roots in nostalgic, mascot-style branding.

The design of the early Funko line, including T-Bone, was intended to capture a minimalist, approachable quality rather than the high-detail sculpts found in later iterations. Created during a period when Funko was establishing its identity within the designer toy market, T-Bone was among the pieces that helped solidify the brand's visual language. While these initial figures did not have the massive franchise tie-ins that define modern Pop! culture, they served as the foundation for the company's rapid expansion into licensed pop culture properties.
