T'Challa Star-Lord [Metallic]

The T'Challa Star-Lord figure, numbered 871 in the Marvel Pop! series, was produced by Funko to commemorate the character's appearance in the 2021 Disney+ animated anthology series, What If...?. This specific iteration of the character imagines an alternate reality where T'Challa is abducted by Yondu Udonta instead of Peter Quill, leading him to become a cosmic adventurer. The design captures the character's signature blend of traditional Wakandan motifs and the weathered, spacefaring aesthetic of the Ravagers, reflecting the show's departure from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.

This metallic variant was released as a stylized collectible meant to highlight the character's intricate suit details through a reflective finish. Funko designers aimed to preserve the iconic silhouette of the Star-Lord mask while integrating T'Challa's unique purple and gold color palette. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series and collectors of Marvel memorabilia, serving as a poignant tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who provided the voice for the character in his final performance for the franchise.
