The Grabber In Alternate Outfit

The Grabber figure, designated as number 1489 in the Pop! Movies line, is based on the primary antagonist from the 2021 supernatural horror film The Black Phone. Produced by Funko, the figure depicts the character in his iconic, sinister mask and top hat, capturing the aesthetic established by the film's production design team. The piece reflects Funko’s practice of adapting modern horror cinema icons into their signature stylized vinyl format, appealing to collectors of the thriller and horror genres.

The character design was heavily influenced by the work of special effects artist Tom Savini, who collaborated on the film to create the disturbing, shifting expressions of the mask. Funko’s interpretation maintains the unsettling, theatrical nature of the character, balancing his grotesque appearance with the clean, minimalist aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! brand. Upon its release, the figure was met with interest from horror enthusiasts who sought to add physical representations of contemporary movie villains to their collections.
