Where it came from
The Griffin Brothers Funko Pop! 2-pack was released as a tribute to Shaquem and Shaquill Griffin, brothers who achieved significant national attention for their shared journey to the NFL. Shaquem, who played despite having his left hand amputated as a child, and Shaquill, a standout cornerback, garnered widespread admiration for their resilience and family bond during their time with the Seattle Seahawks.
The figures were designed within the standard Pop! Football aesthetic, featuring the brothers in their respective Seattle Seahawks uniforms. Funko produced this specific set to honor the unique narrative of siblings playing professional football together on the same roster, a rare occurrence that resonated deeply with sports fans and collectors interested in human-interest stories within the league.
