Where it came from
The Inquisitor Pop! figure, numbered 166 in the Star Wars line, depicts the primary antagonist from the first season of the animated series Star Wars Rebels. Released by Funko to coincide with the show’s popularity, the design captures the character's distinct appearance, including his grey skin, facial tattoos, and his signature spinning double-bladed lightsaber. It represents the broader effort by Funko to expand the Star Wars collection beyond the original film trilogy and into the then-burgeoning canon of the Disney-era animated projects.
The character design was created by the Star Wars Rebels production team, led by Dave Filoni, drawing heavy inspiration from the original concept art for Darth Vader by Ralph McQuarrie. The figure translates the character’s sharp, menacing aesthetic into the iconic, large-headed Funko Pop! style. As a prominent villain from the series, this figure became a staple for collectors focusing on the Rebels expansion of the Star Wars galaxy, standing as a tribute to the character's role in the Jedi hunt narrative.
