The Joker Metallic

The Joker Metallic figure is part of the DC Imperial Palace series, a unique collaboration between Funko and DC Comics released to celebrate traditional Japanese aesthetics through the lens of iconic comic book characters. Launched as part of a larger wave featuring heroes and villains reimagined in feudal Japanese samurai armor, the design draws heavily on kabuki-style makeup and intricate, traditional plating patterns to give the character a distinct, regal appearance.

The metallic finish was applied to this specific iteration to add a premium, shimmering texture that highlights the sculptural details of the armor and the character's signature stylized expression. While the broader DC Imperial Palace line was widely received as a creative departure from standard superhero figures, this metallic variant served as an elusive chase or special edition piece, sought after by collectors for its polished aesthetic and the unique thematic fusion of Gotham City's antagonist with historical Japanese motifs.
