The Lich King

The Lich King Funko Pop, numbered 12 in the Games series, was released during the early years of the Pop! Vinyl line. It depicts Arthas Menethil, the primary antagonist of the World of Warcraft expansion 'Wrath of the Lich King'. Designed with the signature aesthetic of the line—large head, simplified features, and diminutive body—it captures the iconic silhouette of the character's ornate armor and the glowing blue details of his weapon, Frostmourne.

This figure emerged as part of Funko's initial expansion into video game licensing, aiming to provide fans with accessible, stylized representations of legendary fantasy characters. Upon its release, it became a focal point for World of Warcraft collectors, reflecting the immense cultural impact of the game's most recognizable villain. Its design reflects the transition Funko made from obscure collectibles to a global pop-culture phenomenon, balancing minimalist construction with recognizable character iconography.
