Where it came from
The Lizard, designated as number 334 in the Funko Pop! Marvel line, represents Dr. Curtis Connors, a recurring antagonist in the Spider-Man franchise. Introduced to the Pop! format to expand the roster of classic villains available to collectors, this figure was designed to reflect his iconic appearance in the comics, typically featuring his signature lab coat, reptilian scales, and bipedal stature. The design aims to balance Funko’s signature stylized aesthetic with the character's traditional menacing comic book look.
This figure was released as part of a wave of Marvel-themed collectibles intended to capture the nostalgia of fans familiar with the Spider-Man Rogues Gallery. It garnered attention for its detailed sculpting of the creature's facial features and posture. As a standard retail release, it fits into the broader series of Marvel Pop! figures, which are widely recognized for their uniformity in design and broad appeal among comic book enthusiasts and toy collectors.
