Where it came from
Tigress, identified as number 251 in the Funko Pop! Movies line, was released as part of the merchandise supporting the DreamWorks Animation film Kung Fu Panda 3. The figure depicts the character in her signature warrior stance, reflecting her role as a master of the Furious Five and a loyal ally to Po the Panda. It was produced during a period when Funko was rapidly expanding its cinematic licenses to capture the likenesses of major animated franchise leads in their recognizable, stylized vinyl aesthetic.
The design follows the standard Funko Pop! template, emphasizing a large head and simplified, expressive features. The character was illustrated to maintain her distinctive orange-and-black fur pattern and focused, stoic expression. Upon release, the figure was generally well-received by fans of the Kung Fu Panda series and collectors of animation-themed vinyls, serving as a staple piece for those looking to complete the core cast of the franchise.
