The character, created in 1959 by Joe Harris for General Mills, was originally designed as a mischievous antagonist whose singular, unsuccessful quest to sample Trix cereal became a staple of Saturday morning television commercials for decades.

This collectible figure was released as part of Funko’s broader strategy to celebrate mid-century pop culture icons and advertising mascots. By utilizing the stylized, large-headed aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! line, Funko aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia for the cereal culture of the late twentieth century, resulting in a design that retains the character's signature white fur, oversized ears, and colorful polka-dot bowtie.
