Tuxedosam Todoroki (Metallic)

The Tuxedosam Todoroki Pop figure, released as part of the Pop! Animation line under number 795, represents a unique convergence between Sanrio’s classic characters and the cast of My Hero Academia. This crossover collection was designed to celebrate the distinct aesthetic of the anime series by reimagining Sanrio icons like Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Tuxedosam in the roles of U.A. High School students. Tuxedosam, a dapper penguin originally introduced by Sanrio in 1979, is here depicted wearing the signature costume of Shoto Todoroki, complete with his split-toned hair and dual-element suit.

The design intent focused on blending the soft, minimalist appeal of the Sanrio brand with the recognizable costume design of the My Hero Academia protagonist. Released in various finish iterations, including this metallic variant, the figure serves as a novelty collector's item for fans of both franchises. Upon its release, the series was received as a whimsical tribute to modern pop culture, highlighting the versatility of both properties in adapting to collaborative character design.
