Vaporeon [Pokemon Center]

The Vaporeon Funko Pop, numbered 627 in the Games series, was released as part of the ongoing collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Funko to produce stylized vinyl figures of iconic creatures. It was designed to capture the distinct aesthetic of Vaporeon, one of the original 'Eeveelutions,' emphasizing its aquatic features such as the fin-like collar and mermaid-tail fluke while maintaining the signature Pop! aesthetic of a large head and simplified, de-detailed features.

The design process for these figures typically focuses on adapting the intricate geometry of Pokémon character models into the uniform, minimalist structure of a Pop! figure. As part of a highly sought-after line, this Vaporeon figure was released during a period of immense growth for Pokémon-themed collectibles. It received a positive reception from collectors who appreciated the faithful representation of the creature’s silhouette within the established brand constraints of the series.
