Venom

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel Mech Strike: Monster Hunters line, this figure was created to tie into the 2022 Marvel multimedia event of the same name. The series reimagined iconic Marvel characters clad in high-tech, monster-inspired mechanical armor to battle a threat engineered by Doctor Doom. The design aesthetic blends Venom’s signature symbiotic features with sharp, robotic plating and exaggerated structural elements characteristic of the Mech Strike sub-series.

Funko’s design team developed these figures to lean into the aggressive, toy-centric visual language of the source material. By integrating the organic, fluid nature of Venom with the rigid geometry of a mechanical suit, the figure represents a distinct departure from traditional portrayals of the character. It was received as a thematic expansion of the broader Mech Strike initiative, aimed primarily at collectors who favor stylized, franchise-specific crossovers.
