Venomized Captain Marvel

The Venomized Captain Marvel figure, number 599 in the Pop! Marvel series, was released as part of the broader Spider-Man: Maximum Venom collection. This line was inspired by the 2020 Disney XD animated series, which explored a narrative where various Marvel heroes and villains were corrupted or transformed by the alien symbiote. Funko capitalized on the popularity of both the series and the 'Venomized' aesthetic by releasing a wave of figures that reimagined classic Avengers in the grotesque, sharp-toothed style of the character Venom.

The design of this specific figure blends Captain Marvel’s iconic red, blue, and gold color scheme with the signature aesthetic of the symbiote, characterized by elongated, jagged white eyes and a sprawling, organic chest emblem. It was designed to appeal to both collectors of the Marvel Pop! line and fans of the darker, thematic crossovers common in modern comic book adaptations. Upon release, the figure was widely distributed as a standard retail release, receiving a positive reception from collectors who favored the stylized, high-contrast visual shift applied to Carol Danvers.
