Venomized Human Torch (Glow in the Dark)

The Venomized Human Torch figure is part of the extensive Marvel Venom line by Funko, which reimagines classic superheroes through the lens of the Venom symbiote. This particular iteration, designated as number 691, was released as a glow-in-the-dark variant, emphasizing the fiery, extraterrestrial aesthetic typical of the series. These designs were created to merge the distinct visual languages of iconic comic book characters with the monstrous, tongue-heavy, and jagged features associated with the Venom entity.

The character design process for the Venomized series focused on blending the Human Torch’s elemental flames with the aggressive, alien anatomy of the symbiote. By incorporating glow-in-the-dark materials, Funko aimed to highlight the character's dual nature as both a hero of light and a creature of the dark. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors who prioritize thematic variants, becoming a notable example of Funko’s ability to experiment with finish and texture within their standardized pop-culture aesthetic.
