Where it came from
The Wendy and Abigail Funko Pop! figure, numbered 402 in the Games series, was released to celebrate the cult success of the survival video game Don't Starve, developed by Klei Entertainment. First released in 2013, the game gained a dedicated following for its distinct Tim Burton-esque aesthetic, characterized by macabre, hand-drawn art styles and dark, whimsical themes. This figure captures the game's core gameplay dynamic, featuring the playable character Wendy alongside the spirit of her deceased twin sister, Abigail, who serves as a spectral companion.
The design of the figure mirrors the original game's gloomy but charming art direction, utilizing the classic Funko Pop! silhouette to emphasize the characters' oversized heads and wide eyes. Created under the Pop! Games umbrella, this item was intended for the growing demographic of gamers who collect physical representations of indie titles. It was received warmly by the gaming community as an authentic extension of the Don't Starve universe, specifically appealing to fans of the title's gothic atmosphere.
