Where it came from
Zodac was released as part of the Funko Pop! Retro Toys line, specifically designated as number 94 within the Masters of the Universe collection. This figure pays homage to the original 1982 Mattel action figure, capturing the character's role as the Cosmic Enforcer who observes the eternal struggle between He-Man and Skeletor. The design intentionally evokes the classic aesthetic of the toy line, utilizing the stylized proportions common to the Pop! series while maintaining the distinct aesthetic cues of the original vintage figure.
The character of Zodac has long been a subject of fascination for franchise enthusiasts due to his neutral, enigmatic status in the lore. Funko's decision to include him in the Retro Toys line was a response to a broad effort to archive iconic eighties playthings through a modern collecting lens. Like other figures in this wave, the design aimed to balance nostalgic accuracy—such as his signature cosmic suit and blaster—with the clean, simplified lines that define the Funko brand, ensuring that it resonated with both longtime vintage toy collectors and contemporary pop culture fans.
