2-in-1 Super Pack

The LEGO Star Wars 2-in-1 Super Pack, set number 66597-1, was released as part of a recurring retail strategy used by the LEGO Group to bundle existing products. These Super Packs were typically distributed through major retailers as promotional sets, combining two standalone kits into a single box to offer consumers a more comprehensive building experience. This specific release bundled the 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack and the 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack, providing collectors with a balanced selection of minifigures and small-scale vehicles from both sides of the conflict.

The design of the individual sets within this bundle reflects the aesthetic direction of the 2016 Star Wars line, which focused on 'Battle Packs' designed for army-building and playability. The inclusion of figures such as the Rebel Jetpack Troopers and the Imperial Shock Troopers was intended to satisfy fans looking to expand their dioramas with authentic, era-appropriate soldiers. As a retail-exclusive compilation, the 66597-1 set did not have a primary designer of its own, but rather functioned as a logistical grouping of successful individual sets that were well-received by fans for their high value-to-part ratio.
