Where it came from
Autumn's Waffle Stand, released under the LEGO Friends theme in 2024, was designed to expand the narrative of the revamped Friends universe. The set features the character Autumn, who is a staple of the newer generation of characters introduced to reflect a broader range of personalities and interests. It was created to provide an accessible, compact build that integrates seamlessly into larger city layouts, emphasizing the social and culinary aspects of the Friends' town life.
The design focuses on playability, featuring a small kiosk with a waffle-making function that appeals to the series' target demographic. Like many sets in this line, it was developed by the LEGO Group's internal design team to maintain a consistent aesthetic across the modern Friends theme, characterized by vibrant color palettes and detailed accessories. It was received as a charming entry-level set, praised by hobbyists for its clever use of small parts to create a recognizable food stall aesthetic.
