Where it came from
Released in 2011 as part of the Lego Star Wars sub-theme, the Bad Batch Attack Shuttle, set 7971-1, was designed to capture the vehicle featured in the Clone Wars animated series. Its production emerged during a period when Lego was expanding its offerings to include more specialized craft from the expanded Star Wars canon, focusing on providing collectors with unique minifigures alongside buildable play-sets.
The design team emphasized the shuttle's distinct angular profile, which mirrors the tactical, utilitarian aesthetic of the Clone Force 99 transport. Upon its release, the set was noted for its inclusion of several core characters from the series, which made it a sought-after piece for fans looking to complete their Clone Wars-era collections, though it was later superseded in popularity by updated iterations of the craft.
