Birds

The Birds set, designated MMMB021-1, emerged during a period of experimentation within the broader decorative arts collective that produced the line. Created as a tribute to avian aesthetics, the set was conceived to balance structural simplicity with the nuanced color palettes characteristic of mid-century design. The artisans focused on capturing the silhouette of common garden species, intending to offer a minimalist interpretation that prioritized form and fluid lines over hyper-realistic detail.

The reception of this set was largely localized, finding its audience primarily among enthusiasts of boutique tabletop displays and domestic ornaments. Because the design process favored subtle shifts in tone and texture, it was marketed as a modular collection that could be arranged to suit various interior styles. Over time, the set gained modest recognition among collectors of the series for its consistent manufacturing quality and the intentional restraint shown by its designers, whose names remain largely uncredited in the wider historical record.
