Blocks magazine issue 3

Blocks magazine launched in early 2015 as an independent publication dedicated to the growing adult community of Lego enthusiasts. Issue 3 arrived during the publication's early developmental phase, aiming to bridge the gap between casual builders and serious hobbyists by offering deep dives into new set releases, building techniques, and interviews with designers. The magazine was established to provide a sophisticated alternative to the more child-focused literature produced by the manufacturer itself.

The editorial direction for this issue leaned into technical analysis and community spotlights, a hallmark of the early magazine's design philosophy. By focusing on high-quality photography and detailed feature articles, the team behind Blocks sought to legitimize the hobby as a creative outlet rather than a toy-based pastime. The reception was generally positive among hobbyists who appreciated the glossy, long-form content that captured the intricacies of complex builds.
