Where it came from
The Braptor's Wing Striker was released in 2014 as part of the LEGO Legends of Chima theme, a fantasy-based product line centered on the epic struggle between various animal tribes for the control of Chi. The set features the bat character Braptor and his signature flying vehicle, designed to emphasize the aggressive, nocturnal aesthetic of the Bat Tribe within the overarching Chima narrative.
The model was designed to highlight the action-oriented play patterns of the Chima line, incorporating a 'Chi-powered' wing-flapping mechanism and a cockpit meant to seat a minifigure. As part of the wider Legends of Chima collection, it was aimed at younger builders and fans of the accompanying animated series, representing the theme's characteristic blend of organic creature-based design and mechanical building play.
