Where it came from
The 5006065-1 Brick Friday 2019 Minifigure was produced by the LEGO Group as an exclusive promotional gift for the 2019 holiday shopping season. It was distributed during the Black Friday weekend event to customers who met a specific minimum purchase threshold at LEGO Brand Retail stores and through the official online shop.
The minifigure depicts a stylized LEGO employee dressed in a holiday-themed brick costume, featuring a printed torso that mimics the design of a standard red LEGO brick. The design leans into the meta-humor often found in promotional LEGO polybags, celebrating the brand's own identity by literally depicting a person as a piece of the building system. It was received as a lighthearted seasonal collectible rather than a narrative character, designed primarily to incentivize holiday shopping.
