Where it came from
BrickJournal, founded by Joe Meno in 2005, serves as the premier periodical dedicated to the adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) community. Issue 85 continues the publication's long-standing tradition of exploring the intersection of professional toy design and amateur creativity. It was produced to highlight emerging trends in the building community, providing readers with insights into complex building techniques and the personal stories of various builders within the global network of enthusiasts.
The design aesthetic of the magazine has remained consistent over its tenure, prioritizing high-quality photography and detailed instructional diagrams to bridge the gap between hobbyists and professional LEGO designers. Like its predecessors, this issue reflects the collaborative spirit of the community, featuring interviews and showcases that document the evolving complexity of LEGO fan-made models. It was received as a standard reference piece for collectors interested in the documentation of the hobby's recent cultural trajectory.
