Where it came from
BrickJournal, edited by Joe Meno and published by TwoMorrows Publishing, has served as a primary resource for adult fans of LEGO since its inception in 2005. Issue 88 continues this tradition by focusing on specific building techniques, community spotlights, and interviews with notable custom builders. The publication emerged as part of the growing movement of AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) seeking a more sophisticated, hobbyist-focused look at the brick-building medium beyond traditional marketing materials.
The design of the magazine emphasizes a clean, layout-heavy aesthetic that showcases high-quality photography of MOCs (My Own Creations) alongside technical tutorials. Issue 88 adheres to this established editorial mandate, aiming to bridge the gap between casual building and advanced structural design. Like its predecessors, it is generally received by the community as a bridge for enthusiasts looking to refine their skills through the insights of experienced contributors.
