Where it came from
The Bricks Bricks Plates set, released under the LEGO Classic theme, was developed to provide builders with a foundational collection of essential elements rather than a specific model. Its creation stems from the company's long-standing philosophy of encouraging open-ended, imaginative play, moving away from rigid instructions to foster spatial reasoning and creative problem-solving in children and adults alike.
The design of this set prioritizes functional versatility, focusing on a wide array of colorful bricks, windows, doors, and building plates. By including a diverse mix of standard shapes, the designers aimed to lower the barrier to entry for custom builds. It has been well received by the community as a practical 'parts pack' that serves as an ideal supplement for expanding existing collections or establishing a base for original creative projects.
