Where it came from
The Cake Guy, identified as set 71021-10, was released in 2018 as part of the LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 18. This specific series was designed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the LEGO minifigure, featuring a celebratory theme where many characters are dressed in elaborate, party-inspired costumes.
The design of the figure features a unique cake-shaped mold that fits over the torso, representing a multi-tiered dessert complete with icing and a lit candle. It was conceived as a whimsical character intended to add a sense of festivity to the wider LEGO display, and it was generally well-received by collectors for its clever use of a specialized costume piece that deviated from standard minifigure construction.
