Where it came from
The LEGO Cherry Blossoms set, released in 2024, is part of the brand's growing Botanical Collection. Designed to appeal to adults looking for home decor, the set features two buildable flowering twigs that capture the aesthetic of Japanese cherry blossoms in early spring. This set was introduced to provide an accessible, low-maintenance alternative to real indoor plants, emphasizing the meditative process of construction.
The design team focused on creating a versatile display piece that could be combined with other botanical sets or showcased individually in a vase. By utilizing a soft color palette of pastels, the model aims to evoke a sense of tranquility and nature. It was received as a popular entry-level gift within the Botanical Collection, praised for its affordability and the elegance of its simplified, branch-like structure.
