Where it came from
The Clermont-Ferrand 1st anniversary Exclusive Minifigure Pack, designated as CLERMONTFERRAND-2, was produced to commemorate the first anniversary of a specific LEGO retail or community event located in Clermont-Ferrand, France. These regional exclusives were typically commissioned to foster local engagement within the adult fan of LEGO community, serving as a limited-edition token of appreciation for attendees or local collectors.
The design of such promotional minifigures often draws upon local iconography or branding associated with the host store or regional group. While specific designer credits for these limited production runs are rarely publicized, the intent behind the aesthetic was to capture a sense of place and occasion, marking a unique chapter in the history of the specific retail site. These packs are highly sought after in the secondary market due to their extremely restricted availability and the hyper-local nature of their distribution.
