Coast Guard 4WD & Jet Scooter

Released in 2008 as part of the LEGO City Coast Guard subtheme, this set represents the practical, utility-focused design language prevalent in City sets during the late 2000s. It was designed to provide a small-scale, accessible entry point into the maritime rescue narrative, reflecting the line's broader mission to depict heroic, everyday public service roles. The set features a rugged four-wheel-drive vehicle capable of towing a trailer with a jet scooter, emphasizing the versatility required for beach and coastal patrol operations.

The design of set 7737 reflects the iterative progress of LEGO vehicle construction, favoring a blocky, durable aesthetic that prioritized playability and compatibility with other City-themed rescue sets. At the time of its release, the Coast Guard subtheme was well-received by collectors and parents for its focused play scenarios and consistent color palette. While not a flagship model, it is remembered as a functional addition to the City landscape, successfully capturing the essence of emergency response equipment in a compact format.
