Where it came from
Released in 2018 as part of the Lego Ninjago theme, the Cole - Spinjitzu Master set was designed as an interactive play experience centered around the show's core combat mechanic. The set includes a buildable handle, a spin element, and a minifigure, reflecting the brand's shift toward combining traditional building with physical, kinetic play features that allow users to perform 'spinjitzu' moves.
The design draws heavily from the aesthetic established in the long-running Ninjago series, focusing on the elemental earth theme associated with the character Cole. It was developed to be an accessible entry point for younger builders, emphasizing playability through a launcher mechanism that mimics the character's agility as depicted in the animated series, ultimately receiving praise for its simplicity and thematic accuracy.
