Cupcake Stall

The LEGO Friends Cupcake Stall, released under set number 30396-1, debuted as a promotional polybag set within the popular Friends theme. Designed to capture the whimsical and bright aesthetic of Heartlake City, it provides a miniature snapshot of the bakery-themed sub-theme that characterized much of the early Friends product line. The design utilizes a small collection of pastel-colored bricks to assemble a mobile food cart, complete with a striped awning and a miniature display of cupcakes, catering to the theme's focus on social play and neighborhood life.

This set was introduced as a retail incentive or promotional item, intended to serve as an accessible entry point for younger builders or a supplementary addition to larger Friends bakery sets. Like other sets in this series, the aesthetic was developed by the LEGO design team to contrast with the more industrial or action-oriented themes available at the time, opting instead for a color palette of magenta, teal, and lime green. It was received by the community as a charming, low-part-count build that successfully condensed the broader Friends narrative into a compact, displayable model.
