Where it came from
Released in 2005 as part of the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith product wave, set 7251 Darth Vader Transformation captures the pivotal scene where Anakin Skywalker is reconstructed as the cyborg Darth Vader. The set was designed to be a budget-friendly, compact representation of the film's climax, utilizing a mechanical platform to simulate the transformation process.
The design team focused on play functionality, incorporating a lever mechanism that flips the minifigure from an injured Anakin into the fully armored Vader. While the set is noted for its relatively low part count, it is often appreciated by collectors for the inclusion of the unique, battle-damaged Anakin minifigure and the iconic medical droid build.
